My recent shoot with Cam and Elorie of Sports Garage bike shop in Boulder has made it into press for the July issue of Boulder Lifestyle Magazine.  I shot the cover for the July issue, along with several other images for the article on Sports Garage and Boulder mountain biking trails.  The first attempt at this shoot was rained out by a random afternoon thunderstorm at Betasso Preserve–hence the gnarly clouds in the first series of photos.  Lightning and rain do not mix well with lighting equipment.  HUGE thanks to Jason Keifer of Sports Garage for hauling around my lighting gear and assisting with both photo shoots.  Fortunately, we left before he became a lightning rod…

We made it back to Betasso the following week, and spent more time shooting on my favorite mountain bike trails in Boulder, Colorado.  I don’t think Cam and Elorie were upset at all that they got to take another afternoon off of work to go ride the Sports Garage Demo Bikes around Betasso.  Cam was riding the new 2013 Santa Cruz Bronson Carbon, while Elorie took the 2013 Yeti SB-66 Carbon out to play on the trails, and yes, Sports Garage is one of the few shops in Boulder that actually lets you take high end demo bikes out on the local trails.
